TIBCO Data Virtualization Bootcamp
Unique 10-day TIBCO Data Virtualization (TDV) bootcamp in which you are prepared with all knowledge and skills to be able to run projects with TIBCO Data Virtualization!
Within the unique 10-day Tibco Data Virtualization (TDV) bootcamp we do not only teach you the basics of TDV, but we go deeply into data modeling, security, monitoring, functional and technical management, data architectures, Furthermoe, the position of data virtualization, use cases and business cases, proof of concepts, pilots and setting up and implementing implementations are discussed.
The training is supported by a multitude of practical assignments with representative cases based on a personal cloud environment in which you will work during the bootcamp.
Day 1: Data Virtualization Essentials
This introduction day gives you insight into the possibilities of Data Virtualization. The focus is on unlocking and connecting data in data warehouses, big data environments and business applications.
Your results after Data Virtualization Essentials:
- You know the basic concepts of Data Virtualization and the value for both the IT organization and the business
- You know the functional characteristics of Data Virtualization tools
- You know the methods for abstracting, modeling and linking data as a basis for optimal use of Data Virtualization tools
- You know the concrete application in the form of use cases for Data Virtualization through demos and discussions with experienced Data Virtualization consultants
During the first day the case is introduced that will be used during the bootcamp.
Day 2,3, 4 Development with TDV
Development with TDV describes the TIBCO Data Virtualization Platform and its use for virtualizing Enterprise data. This course also covers the TIBCO Datavirtualization Studio and how to create and configure data sources, views, and services. Guided, hands-on labs cover creation and deployment of resources, using the Discovery tool, webservices, and Business Directory.
Through focused hands-on labs, attendees also work with stored procedures and scripts, and configure web service based publishing. Security configuration, and tuning of resources through the query engine is also discussed. The proper use of caching is explored and integration with advanced data sources is also discussed in the course.

Day 5,6,7 Advanced Development with TDV
Advanced Development with TDV follows the developer course on the product and is intended for developers. It provides exposure to additional, specialized topics.
Through a combination of lectures and labs, attendees learn to use non-relational data sources and complex data transformations. Other topics include custom Java procedures, customized security and caching topics and query engine settings.

Day 8 Semantic modelling with TDV
Data Virtualization is a enterprise wide solution for accessing and integrating multiple data sources and services in a secure manner for analytic purposes. A key differentiator of Data Virtualization in comparison to other technologies is the absence of data replication needs and a strong focus on data modeling using the semantic data layer concept.
As data is sourced from various application, services, databases and big data solutions, using the semantic data layer of Data Virtualization ensures any data is modeled to the needs of the (diverse and growing group of) analytical business users.
An agile and consistent data modeling approach makes the most out of Data Virtualization technology by abstracting technical data definitions and models to user related definitions and models. This approach supports the reuse and integration of data, definitions and models in an unprecedented and flexible manner.
During this day we will introduce you to the various modelling approaches like data vault, Ensemble Logical Modelling, Dimensional Modeling and SuperNova modeling in direct relation to building the semantic layers using TDV.
Day 9 Best practices in implementing TDV
Based on real-live examples of enterprise grade implementation we will share with you our lessons learned and best practices. By discussing various implementations in Retail, Finance, Government and Healthcare you will learn what works and what will not work while defining the business case, use cases, POCs, pilots and implementation plans. Implementing TDV, whether it is in a cloud, on premise or hybrid ecosystem, has it specifics in relation to more traditional approaches like ETL and datawarehousing and we will discuss in details the differences, do’s and don’t’s.
Day 10 Putting it all together
The final day of the bootcamp offers you the opportunity to finalize your case and present the results, and more important the design decisions you made during the bootcamp, to the trainers and other boot camp members. You will be able to take the results home as you will be able to export the case to a TDV .CAR file.
You will be awarded a Connected Data Academy TDV bootcamp certificate after completion of the course.

Registration form TIBCO Data Virtualization Bootcamp
Cancellation by Connected Data Academy, represented by Connected Data Group B.V.: Connected Data Group will make every effort to allow training to take place but reserves the right to cancel training at any time. Connected Data Group is not responsible for costs incurred by the client as a result of the rescheduling or cancellation of the training. If a training course has been canceled by Connected Data Group, the client will be given the option to transfer the booking to another training course or to have the already paid course fee refunded.
Cancellation by the client: Cancellation is possible up to 5 working days before the start of the training, after which the full registration fee is due. In case of cancellation up to 20 working days before the start, no costs will be charged, in all other cases 50% of the registration fee is due. Cancellation must always be made in writing. The student has a 7-day cooling-off period after signing and can cancel without costs, unless the training has not been planned during this period.
Settlement and invoicing: Unless otherwise agreed and stated as a payment condition, invoicing of the total amount for the training takes place after booking. Payment of the full invoice amount must be made no later than 15 working days before the start of the training. Connected Data Group reserves the right to refuse participation in the training if the invoice is not paid on time. By submitting this form, you order the relevant training. There is a cooling-off period of fourteen days
